Updated COVID guidance for pregnant employees

The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) has updated its guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) and pregnancy following the government’s updated guidance.

Employers are reminded that if an employee has informed you in writing of their pregnancy you should carry out a risk assessment to follow the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSW).

The UK Government has maintained the precautionary measure of classing pregnant women as clinically vulnerable. The advice remains that pregnant women who can work from home should continue to do so.

I have worked with Ortolan Legal since 2010 and used their services extensively. They have provided corporate and commercial legal advice and we have also drawn on their capability in the areas of employment law, dispute resolution and property law. What makes them so different is their ability consistently to deliver commercially focussed and high quality advice at a price point which simply cannot be matched by other law firms. They aim to strip out unnecessary overhead costs, concentrate on the quality of their core service and pass on these cost savings to their clients. It works.
