ICO consults on how it investigates, regulates and enforces
The UK’s independent regulator for data protection and information rights law is holding a public consultation in relation to how it uses its powers and is seeking input from stakeholders, those that act as data controllers, as well as the general public. The consultation closes on 24 March 2022 and written feedback on the following three areas is welcomed:
Statutory Guidance on our Regulatory Action; and
Statutory Guidance on our PECR Powers.
The ICO says that these three documents “set out how the ICO aims to carry out its mission to uphold information rights for the UK public in the digital age”.
Responses can be sent using the online survey or by completing the Word document found here and emailing it to RAPenquiries@ico.org.uk.
